Read MoreBe conscious of your facial expressions when you are on camera. Try to relax. You don't want to keep an unblinking stare or a contorted face because you are too nervous or tense. Amplify your emotions when you're on camera, especially when you are taking up the frame--you need to be interesting and engaging. Big teethy smiles and energetic facial expression can go a long way. Keep in mind that you can also apply your energy to calm and sultry faces too.
Whether you're meeting someone for the first time and want to break the ice, or you're just looking to have a little fun, it's always good to have a few pick up lines in your back pocket. Once upon a time I was a single lady and was hoping to attract more pickup lines my way. Alas those days are in the rear view mirror--except occasionally at the gym, school drop off, restaurants, while shopping for clothing, at the bookstore, at the beach with my children etc etc.
The diet cycle is a vicious one. It's like an unhealthy yo-yo that is mercilessly dragging you down, and the more weight you lose, the harder it becomes to break free. Some diets are so punishing they can only last a short period before the dieter has to quit, and binge on food to feel normal again--then gain weight and feel guilty and re-embark on a diet again! This cycle appears and reappears for many of us who are trying to look and feel our best.
Successful people know that it's okay to brag sometimes and that it can indeed be healthy to publicly pat yourself on the back. If you're feeling good about yourself, go ahead and brag to your friends or family. It's okay to boast when it is appropriate!
