This is probably one of the biggest worries women have before their session.
You do not need to practice posing in your bedroom mirror.

I’ve been photographing women for more than a decade and specializing in boudoir photography since 2015. I’ve photographed more than 2,000 women, and I will guide you through the entire process.

I hear this all the time: “I’m not photogenic.”
So, I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Most of the women who come to my studio don’t think they’re photogenic either.
The women you see on my website are not professional models. They are real women who walked into Chicago Boudoir Photography with many of the same insecurities you might have.
Great boudoir photography is not about finding women who already know how to look amazing in front of a camera. It’s about lighting, posing, expression, wardrobe, styling and knowing how to photograph each individual woman.
You Can Be Nervous and Still Have an Amazing Experience
You do not have to walk into the studio bursting with confidence.
In fact, being nervous is really, really common.
Some women are excited-nervous. Some are what on earth have I gotten myself into? nervous.
Both are welcome here at Chicago Boudoir.
One of my favorite parts of this job is watching that nervousness disappear as the session goes on. Usually, it doesn’t take very long.
You start realizing that you’re not expected to perform. You’re being guided through everything. We laugh. We talk. We take photos. And suddenly the thing that seemed intimidating starts feeling really fun.
Hair and Makeup Are Part of the Experience
Your boudoir session starts with professional hair and makeup right here at the studio.
You can go natural, glamorous or somewhere in between. Professional airbrush foundation and faux lashes are included, and we customize your look to you.
This time is also a chance to settle in before we start shooting.
There’s no rushing through the door and immediately stripping down in front of a camera. You get time to relax, get pampered and ease into the experience.

You get to see your images!
There is something pretty incredible about watching a woman see herself in her boudoir photos for the first time.
