“I’ve Never Felt More Confident in My Life”: Autumn’s Boudoir Experience
Autumn’s Boudoir Experience: From Self-Doubt to Feeling More Confident Than Ever
“I feel the most confident I've felt in a long time.”
That’s one of my favorite things about boudoir photography.
It’s not about walking into the studio already feeling completely confident. In fact, many of the women I photograph arrive with the exact opposite feeling. They’re nervous. They’re in their heads. They’re wondering how they’re going to look in the photos or whether they’ll even like seeing themselves that way.
And Autumn was no different.
“I’m very hard on myself.”
Before her photoshoot, Autumn knew she had a tendency to be hard on herself. Naturally, that made stepping in front of a camera in lingerie feel a little intimidating.
She was worried about the photoshoot and what she would think when she saw the images.
But instead of letting those worries stop her, she decided to come in with an open mind and trust the experience.
And I’m so glad she did.
Because once we got started, she was able to relax, have fun, and let me take over the posing.
You Don't Have to Know How to Pose
One of the biggest fears I hear from women before their boudoir session is:
“But I have no idea how to pose!”
Good news: you don't have to.
That’s my job.
Autumn said that I knew exactly how to pose her and took all of the stress out of the experience. Instead of worrying about what she should do with her hands, where she should look, or whether she was “doing it right,” she could simply relax and enjoy herself.
And that's exactly what I want every woman to experience.
You don't need modeling experience. You don't need to know your “good side.” You don't need to know what to do in front of a camera.
I'll guide you through it all.
From Nervous to “I Wanted Every Image”
Then came the part that can make even the most confident woman a little nervous:
Seeing the photos for the first time.
After spending so much time worrying about how she would look, Autumn was blown away by her images.
In fact, she loved them so much that she said:
“I loved every single one and wanted every image.”
That moment is one of my absolute favorites.
Because sometimes we are so used to seeing ourselves through our own critical eyes that it takes someone else showing us a different perspective to realize just how incredible we really are.
“I Felt Very Sexy.”
And maybe my favorite part of Autumn’s testimonial is how simply she put it:
“I felt very sexy.”
Not because she suddenly became a different person.
Not because she changed her body.
Not because she learned how to be someone else.
She simply gave herself permission to see herself differently.
That's what boudoir can do.
It can give you an opportunity to step outside of the everyday version of yourself—the mom, the wife, the employee, the caretaker, the woman who's always busy taking care of everyone else—and spend a few hours focusing entirely on you.
More Than Just Pretty Pictures
Of course, I want you to love your photos. That's a huge part of what we do.
But the experience itself is just as important.
From professional hair and makeup to being guided through every pose, my goal is to create an environment where you can let go of the pressure to look or act a certain way.
You don't have to arrive confident.
You don't have to feel sexy when you walk through the door.
You don't even have to be convinced that boudoir is “your thing” yet.
Come with an open mind.
We'll take care of the rest.
And maybe you'll leave feeling the way Autumn did:
More confident than you've felt in a long time.
