Not traveling this year? Stuck close to home because of the pandemic? How about a boudoir photoshoot?!

The last couple of years have been stressful, to say the least. The pandemic and Covid-related measures have canceled trips and vacation plans and kept many of us close to home. One woman came into the Chicago Boudoir Photography studio as a way to celebrate her birthday without leaving the area. We had a blast and got some beautiful photos for her to remember for a lifetime.

What was your main reason for booking a boudoir shoot?: As a unique birthday celebration and fun, new adventure after a year of the pandemic. Normally, I enjoy traveling but this was a way to experience something completely new AND in line with safety measures a bit closer to home.

What was your biggest fear before or during your boudoir shoot?: Getting everything done in time (hair, nails, etc.) and being in the right frame of mind on the day of the shoot, especially with so many stressors these days. Basically whether or not everything would come together in the end for a great experience - which it did!

How did the shoot turn out? / Tell us your favorite part about your boudoir shoot experience.: The boudoir photoshoot was so much fun and much more fluid and relaxing than I'd imagined. The parts I enjoyed the most overall were coming up with my outfits and prop ideas, then playing around with the variety (alongside some gorgeous items on hand in the studio) on the day of. Liz's guidance was right on point in creating the best variety of images from what I'd brought to the studio and I'm extremely pleased with my collection of intimate photos. They really do feel like "me"!
