Elizabeth’s Chicago Boudoir Experience: Choosing Fun, Confidence, and Self-Celebration
Why This Boudoir Session Was About So Much More Than Photos
I hear this all the time: “Boudoir is for models.” Or “Maybe someday… when I look a certain way.” And then a woman like Elizabeth walks into the studio and gently blows that myth apart.
When she originally booked her session, she wasn’t chasing perfection. She was craving something different — a break from the monotony of everyday life. Something fun. Something just for her. And honestly? That intention alone set the tone for an incredible experience.
Fun is wildly underrated. When we allow ourselves to enjoy something purely for the sake of joy, it changes how we show up everywhere else. That’s exactly what this session became for her — a reset, a reminder, and a powerful stepping stone in her personal journey.
Stepping Outside the Comfort Zone (and Loving It)
This was Elizabeth’s very first boudoir experience. Like many women, she came in with nerves — unsure what to expect, unsure how she’d feel seeing herself in this way. But she trusted the process.
She also shared how meaningful this was alongside her bodybuilding journey. Being photographed in a vulnerable, minimally covered way wasn’t new — but choosing to do it for herself, without competition rules or expectations, was.
That distinction matters.
Once she felt comfortable, everything shifted. She didn’t just pose — she immersed herself in the moment. And that’s where the magic always happens.
“She [Liz] made me feel comfortable, which allowed me to fully immerse myself in the moment and actually enjoy it.”
Confidence Looks Good on Every Woman
During her session, something beautiful unfolded. She didn’t just look confident — she felt it.
“I felt confident, sexy, and beautiful.”
Those words never get old for me.
There is still stigma around women celebrating themselves in this way. Around owning our bodies. Around taking up space without apology. And yet, every woman who steps into the studio helps rewrite that narrative.
She chose to share her images — not for validation, but as a reminder to other women that you are allowed to be proud of who you are.
“Everybody has a body, and we all deserve moments where we feel beautiful, worthy, and confident in our own skin.”
That’s the heart of what we do here.
Watch Her Story in Her Own Words
Hearing her describe the experience in her own voice says more than I ever could. If you’ve ever wondered what it actually feels like to do this — watch the video.
If You’ve Been Thinking About It… This Is Your Sign
Her advice to other women was simple, honest, and powerful:
“If this is something you’ve been considering, I would say go for it. You’re only every age once.”
You don’t need a milestone. You don’t need permission. You don’t need to look any different than you do today.
You just need to say yes.
If you’re ready to step out of routine, reconnect with yourself, and experience what so many women describe as transformative, I’d love to photograph you.
