Covid-19 Virus Pandemic Photos at the Chicago Boudoir Photography Studio

Hi there! Like the rest of the world, I’m on lock-down right now. Due to the world-wide Corona Virus pandemic, the state of Illinois has issued a “shelter-in-place” ordinance. The Chicago Boudoir Photography studio is closed until at least April 7th, and possibly much longer. While I am sad about this unexpected break in my business, I am grateful that my family is healthy and relatively happy at home (the kids have been fighting non-stop, but hey, they do that on days that there isn’t a global pandemic too).

I needed to run up to the studio today to grab some items that I had left behind. While we were there, I had my husband snap a few Covid-19 themed boudoir pics, just for fun. And now I can’t stop laughing about it. I guess I may be going a little crazy from this lock-down lol. And btw - don’t worry - my husband and I have been quarantined together for the past two weeks and we didn’t see or interact with anyone else while we were at the studio doing this shoot. I hope that you enjoy this Corona virus inspired boudoir photo shoot - we can all use a little laugh this week, amiright?

The toilet paper, hand sanitizer and bleach spray were things I always have on hand at the studio. The Lysol I brought from home and the face mask I found in a dress-up box that my daughter had at home in a doctor dress-up kit (I don’t think it’s a mask that actually filters much of anything!).

I wish that I could have gotten together with my hair and makeup artist for this shoot, but alas, due to the virus lock-down, I had to manage the best I could by myself. After this virus pandemic is over, I am going to have my hair and makeup artist give me a tutorial on false lashes so that I can do them on myself! Even after being a boudoir photographer for 5+ years, I still don’t know how do to my own false lashes! Also, can I say that my sweet husband was so nice to take these photos for me. He has many interests, but taking photos is not one of them. Thanks for doing it anyway, RH, I love you <3 <3

How are you coping during this lockdown? Shoot me a note at liz@chicago-boudoir.com - I’d love to hear from you. I hope that you are staying safe and well during this pandemic. xo Liz
