Naked isn't naughty!
Hey friends!
As you probably know, I am a boudoir photographer. I run a photo studio where I take sensual photos of women that celebrate the body.
Here are some things that I hear a lot about boudoir photography:
❌ boudoir is basically just p0rn ... gross
❌ ugh why would anyone do a boudoir shoot? not me!
❌ boudoir is degrading to women
❌ boudoir photos shouldn't be on the internet
❌ good girls wouldn't ever do a boudoir shoot
But here’s what I know about about boudoir photography:
✅ porn exploits, but boudoir empowers
✅ every person is in charge of their own body, no matter what
✅ boudoir can create a safe space for self-love
✅ boudoir can be confidence-building and life-changing
✅ every body is a good body and is worth celebrating
I feel so passionate about this topic, that I gave a whole TEDx talk on why NUDITY ISN'T NAUGHTY.
I got up on stage and talked about:
📢 how we have inherited a cultural bias against bodies
📢 how nude experiences can lead to courage and freedom
📢 why we often have to pay a "taboo tax" if we decide to go nude
📢 why we need to change how we talk about and act around nudity and nude experiences
So here's what I have for you, friend:
1️⃣ I want to invite you to watch my TEDx talk ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️ and leave me a comment on the YouTube video and let me know what you think.
2️⃣ If what I said in the TEDx talk resonated with you, SHARE it to your audience! Because maybe what I said will help someone somewhere to feel more confident in their body and more willing to try out a nude experience.
❤️ I can't wait to hear what you think when you watch. xo Liz ❤️
