All about YOU at Chicago Boudoir

When was the last time you did something just for YOU? I often ask this to my clients and usually get answers like:

“Never!”

“It’s been years!”

“Before I had kids!”

Whether we are juggling work, school, children or the stresses of daily life, we often put our own well-being on the back burner.

At my boudoir photography studio I love to help women take a small amount of undivided time just for them.

Some of the best photoshoots are when a client brings in fun props to make the photoshoot unique to them. It is a great way to show their personality and create pictures that truly speak to who they are! Remember that this shoot is all about YOU!

Wondering how you can make your photoshoot unique to you? Here are some ideas:

Bring a prop to represent a favorite hobby.

You can’t go wrong when it is something unique to you!

Read below about how one client celebrated herself with a birthday boudoir photoshoot!

What was your main reason for booking a boudoir shoot?: Anniversary gift for my husband. Also, I ended up booking my boudoir photoshoot on my birthday! What a fun birthday treat for me!!

What was your biggest fear before or during your boudoir shoot?: Forgetting something! Lol. I read a lot of reviews and hearing what other women had to say was very encouraging and put my mind at ease. Everyone said they had so much fun and felt empowered. And I have to say, it’s all true!

How did the shoot turn out? / Tell us your favorite part about your boudoir shoot experience.: It was great! Liz and I had a blast. She positioned me perfectly and made me feel comfortable the entire time. Also, the hair and makeup artist was so fun to talk to and made the first part of my appointment very laid back. Lots of girl talk! Ultimately, my favorite part was getting to see my pictures before leaving the studio. It was such an instant gratification and made me even more excited for my printed album!

Did you give your boudoir photos as a gift? How have you enjoyed your photos since the shoot?: I did! Although, I couldn’t wait until our anniversary, so I gave the album to my husband the day I picked it up! My husband and I look at the pictures all the time. I think I love them as much as he does! They make me feel strong, sexy, and empowered.

Is there anything else you'd like to share? / Is there anything we can improve?: I don’t have any notes of improvement. I had a blast, Liz is wonderful, and the end product is gorgeous. I will be back!!
