WPPI & Boudoir Live 2022 - Las Vegas

Every year, a giant photography conference is held in Las Vegas called WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International). The conference draws thousands of photographers together to learn and network.

This was my second year attending the conference and both years I loved rubbing shoulders with other photographers and learning so much from the presentations, the floor show and the workshops.

This year, I had the opportunity to be a speaker at Boudoir Live, a separate day of presentations geared specifically toward boudoir photographers.

My presentation focused on my story (why I got into boudoir, how I got started with my photography business) and about my same-day process.

What do I mean by same-day?

At the Chicago Boudoir Photography studio, clients get to see their photos the same day as their shoot. Most photo studios don’t work this way, but I love the instant gratification! And I’ve found that my clients LOVE seeing their photos right away. They don’t go home from their photoshoot wondering if we got any good photos, because they KNOW how great the photos are already!

I spoke about why I like to show photos the same day as the shoot and why it’s beneficial for the client AND for me as a photographer. I don’t know if I convinced anyone in the audience, but I enjoyed sharing what works for me at the Chicago Boudoir Photography studio!

At the closing of the Boudoir Live conference, there was a Q&A panel with all of the speakers. It was an honor to share the stage with some boudoir photography powerhouses, including Jenn Bruno Smith, Michael Sasser and Marco Ibanez.

In between conference sessions, there was also lots of time to meet people and experience the energy of Las Vegas!
