  1. Ice skating - Ice skating is the perfect winter activity! It is a great way to get out in the fresh winter air with family and friends or on a fun date. The iconic rink in Millennium Park is a must! Located in the heart of downtown Chicago, this rink offers beautiful city sights near the famous Michigan Avenue. Whether you have been skating for years or a beginner this winter activity will not disappoint.

  2. Sledding and snowshoeing - It wouldn’t be winter without good old fashioned sledding! Head to Soldier Field for one of Chicago’s best sledding hills! This slope stretches over 200 feet and even boasts a beautiful view of Lake Michigan from the top. Next head over to Northerly Island just east of Soldier Field to do some snowshoeing through the beautiful nature trails.

  3. Lincoln Park Zoo - This free activity should be on anyone’s winter Chicago list! Walk through the snowy paths of the Lincoln Park zoo to see winter animals such as polar bears and penguins!

  4.
