Fifty-something bride comes to the studio for a boudoir shoot!
I think sometimes people have it in their minds that boudoir is only for 20-something women, but I believe that a boudoir photo shoot is for every woman from age 21 to 101!
Recently, a fifty-something bride came to the studio to create an album for her future husband. Here’s what she had to say about her experience at the Chicago Boudoir Photography studio:
What was your main reason for booking a boudoir shoot?: I have an upcoming wedding and my future husband will be celebrating a "milestone" birthday in 2021; I have also recently hit my goal weight after losing 38 pounds...lots to celebrate!
What was your biggest fear before or during your boudoir shoot?: I was anxious and uncomfortable, never really think of myself as sexy, more like the "class clown". Really wasn't confident as to how I'd look and if I'd even want anyone to see the pics.
How did the shoot turn out? / Tell us your favorite part about your boudoir shoot experience.: OMG!!!! Totally amazing from start to finish! Liz and her team put me at ease, were fun and professional and brought out my inner "sexy"! The pics that I had to choose from were more than I could have wanted and Liz did a remarkable job with any touchups that I requested. The timeliness in which my order arrived at my house was impressive and even the packaging was fantastic!
Did you give your boudoir photos as a gift? How have you enjoyed your photos since the shoot?: My thought was to give the album to my love as a wedding gift but we have postponed until 2021. While it's going to be soooo difficult to keep these a secret, I have decided to wait until next May/June to give him this present, either for a wedding gift or his birthday which we will be celebrating a few days later (hopefully while on our honeymoon).
Is there anything else you'd like to share? I was hesitant but intrigued from the get go; I am a fifty something who isn't very comfortable with her sexy self. Walking in the studio door that day I felt instantly at ease and Amanda did a wonderful job with my hair/makeup, totally listening to my feedback (in fact, I've booked her for my wedding!). Alyssa was there to help Liz out and the two of them worked like a well oiled machine. Liz managed to put me in poses that were comfortable to me while having just enough sex appeal. I actually felt pretty and had so much fun! Viewing the shots she took right after was such a perk and I couldn't believe how many awesome pics there were to choose from. Liz helped guide me through the entire process and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about her and the whole experience! Thank you, Liz!
