wndr museum in Chicago ~ Not boudoir related :) but still fun!
This post isn’t necessarily related to boudoir photography, but I was so excited about it that I wanted to share anyway! And it is photography related, so that counts, right? ;)
Have you heard of the wndr museum in Chicago? It’s called an “experiential museum” and you can check out the website HERE and at #wndr.
The wndr museum is an art museum, but not what you would typically think of as an art museum. To me, it seems like some people said, “how can we build an art experience that the instagram/ selfie generation will love?” and the wndr museum was born. I have no idea if that’s actually how it came about, but it kind of seems that way!
The museum features about 25 interactive rooms/ stations with lighting, furniture, sculpture, painted walls and props that you can enjoy, experience and photograph yourself in. It’s highly creative and very fun! There are neon lights, balloons, graphic walls, responsive lighting designs, stairs, mirrors, optical illusions and even a live poet sitting in one room working on a typewriter!
Last week I was able to visit the wndr museum with a group of other local photographers. And this was the absolute best group of people to go to the wndr museum with - because they were all as excited about taking photos as I was! And, a huge bonus was that I went home with a ton of fun photos that the other photographers took! Check out these fun photos! (Scroll down to the bottom for photo credits). If you have a chance to go to the wndr museum, I highly recommend it! This current exhibit is open through March 2018 and then it is going to change (at least that is what the website says!).
Here we are with our cameras in front of a sign that says, “We are all artists:”
Here are couple of selfies that I took - this one in a mirrored ceiling:

And here are some photos that the other photographers took of me at the wndr museum:
