Kandis’s photoshoot at the Chicago Boudoir studio

“This was confidence building on another level.”

Kandis showed up at the Chicago Boudoir Photography studio with true apprehension in her bones! She had never done something like a boudoir photoshoot before and wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out. Kandis was excited, but also very, very nervous. She wanted to have the boudoir photoshoot experience, but also had a lot of butterflies in her belly. Kandis had been a part of the VIP Facebook for Empowered Women of Chicago for a while and seen lots of women post their boudoir photos. Kandis felt a lot of support from women in the Facebook group, but still wondered if boudoir was going to go well for HER.

We started off with professional makeup (Kandis came to the studio with her hair already styled). The beauty team gave Kandis a bright, bold lip and a soft smokey eye. This was Kandis’s first time wearing false lashes and she loved the look!

Here is Kandis seeing her makeup look for the first time. She was nervous to see herself in the mirror, but then loved her look! She said, “You were right, it DID transform my face!”

After seeing her makeup look, Kandis felt much more confident about going into the studio for her shoot!

Kandis brought several gorgeous lingerie pieces to be photographed in, including a bright pink babydoll, a purple bra & panty set and polka dot baby doll with floral trim. Kandis might have been nervous to do this, but she was beyond thrilled with the results. She absolutely LOVED the images we created for her at the Chicago Boudoir Photography studio.

Right after her shoot, Kandis signed the board - officially part of the Chicago Boudoir Photography sisterhood! Kandis felt gorgeous and confident as she walked out of the studio!

Two weeks later, Kandis came back to the studio to pick up the album and wall art that she had ordered from her boudoir photoshoot. She selected a gorgeous album with a black velvet cover and two pieces of wall art. Kandis was blown away when she saw her album for the first time! Kandis said,

“I was wrong about everything before I came into the studio. I thought that I was going to look like an oompa-loompa, but I was wrong! I love how I look! I had boudoir wrong. I wasn’t sure how I was going to look in lingerie, but this was confidence building on another level!”
