“I’m really proud of myself for doing this!”
Rose came to the photo studio to celebrate herself and to create a beautiful birthday gift for her partner. Rose had never done something like this before, but she was willing to go out of her comfort zone to create a super special gift.
Rose has been on a journey of self-discovery over the past few years and this photoshoot was an empowering way to celebrate her new life, new relationships and new-found freedom.
Every photoshoot at the Chicago Boudoir Photography studio includes professional hair and makeup. I love how the beauty team accentuated Rose’s blue eyes with this makeup look:
Rose was up for anything during her shoot and it was so fun to get a variety of looks. We got some images that are sweet and flirty and others that are dark and moody.
Rose brought great lingerie for her shoot, including a deep plunge bodysuit (you can check it out here - it’s a piece that I recommend to all of my clients because it photographs great!!). She also chose to wear use some of the accessories from the studio including our pink goddess robe and a rainbow pride flag.

After her shoot, Rose chose an 8 inch luxury album with a black leather cover and a beautiful large print to hang on her wall.

What was your main reason for booking a boudoir shoot?: A gift for my partner and for myself!
What was your biggest fear before or during your boudoir shoot?: That I wouldn't be able to feel comfortable in the midst of the vulnerability of being nearly naked in front of a camera!
How did the shoot turn out? / Tell us your favorite part about your boudoir shoot experience: It was so wonderful. Everything from the makeup and hair prep to the shoot itself to the photos I received afterwards were absolutely perfect and it exceeded my expectations!
Did you give your boudoir photos as a gift? How have you enjoyed your photos since the shoot?: Yes! My partner loved the album so much. I have also been looking at the photos for a dose of self empowerment. I am really proud of myself for doing this!
